The Best of Boston and Six Flags

Packages Offered: Spring, summer and fall
Tour Length: 3 Days/2 Nights

Boston, perhaps more than any other city, is a place of living history. On this fun-filled outing you will walk through history as you search for objects along the Freedom trail and rise to new heights at the Prudential Center. Then it is throttle down, as you zip across the ocean at full speed.

Day One:

Quincy MarketArrive in the historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace midmorning, where you will head out on the ultimate scavenger hunt! Get ready for the challenge when you split up into teams and begin the Boston Freedom Dash! The game combines the elements of education, fun, teamwork and laughs galore! Teams will be given game bags that include: a game book, customized nametags, digital camera and props. Search for objects, answers to trivia questions, and take videos along Boston’s historic Freedom Trail. An award ceremony follows the hunt.

By this time you will have worked up an appetite. Have lunch on your own in the amazingly delicious Food Court at Faneuil Hall. Following lunch, you will have a brief time to explore the shops.
Walk across the street to the New England Aquarium, where you take a trip to exotic waters and experience more than 70 exhibits featuring aquatic animals from around the world. Greet the African penguins, feel the smooth wing of a cownose ray and then wind your way around the four-story Giant Ocean Tank, home to a huge Caribbean coral reef. See the Northern fur seals in action in their open-air exhibit, and be sure to visit the Atlantic harbor seals.

FenwayNext, embark on a guided tour of the oldest Major League Baseball stadium in use, New England Aquarium. This ballpark has been the home of the Boston Red Sox baseball club since it opened in 1912. Because of the ballpark’s age and constrained location in the dense Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood, the park has had many renovations and additions over the years that were not initially envisioned, resulting in unique, quirky features, including “The Triangle,” Pesky’s Pole,” and most notably the famous Green Monster in left field.

Travel to your Boston area hotel and check into your rooms. There will be time to unpack and settle in before gathering for a “losta pasta” Italian dinner served at a restaurant near the hotel.

After dinner, enjoy the remainder of the evening in the hotel’s indoor pool.

Day Two:

Start the day with a hearty breakfast served at the hotel. Board the coach and travel into Boston.

boston-duck-toursTour Boston like never before aboard a “DUCK,” a World War-II-style amphibious landing vehicle. You will cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts, from the golden-doomed State House to Bunker Hill, Boston Common and Copley Square, Quincy Marketplace to the Prudential Tower and more. And just when you think you have seen it all, it’s time for “Splashdown,” as your ConDUCKtor splashes the DUCK into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston and Cambridge skylines, the kind of view you just won’t get anywhere else.

Debark your “DUCK”, and follow your full-time guide on a walking tour of Boston’s Chinatown, the only surviving historic ethnic Chinese area in New England. Learn of its rich history, traditions, culture and great food. Pass through Chinatown’s traditional opening gate, designed to ward off evil using two foo lions on either side. There is an abundance of Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants from which to choose for lunch on your own.

Next, get ready for more thrills, more laughs and more speed than you ever imagined, as you zip across the ocean at up to 40 miles per hour aboard Codzilla. This thrilling 40-minute Boston Harbor ride is full blast, sensational fun.

Late afternoon, ascend to the 50th-floor of the Prudential Center to the Skywalk Observatory. From Boston’s only sky-high vantage point, enjoy sweeping 360-degree views of the city and surrounding harbor. There will be time to explore the array of shops in the Prudential Center.

Dinner is served in the surrounds of Rock n’Roll memorabilia at the world-famous, Hard Rock Café.

After dinner, take your seats for an evening of comedy, music and interactive fun with the famous Blue Man Group! Critics described the show as “innovative,” “energetic” and “wildly entertaining.”

Return to the hotel after the performance.

Day Three:

After breakfast is served at the hotel, pack your bags, tidy your rooms and check out.

Roller CoasterYour last day includes a visit to Six Flags New England for a day of thrills, chills and laughs on their world-famous thrill rides. Lunch in the Park is included via voucher.
