4 Days/3 Nights

Day One:

bethesdaAfter lunch, embark on a guided tour of Central Park, led by an official Park Guide. Central Park is located at the center of Manhattan and is one of the most visited parks in the United States. See sights such as: the Boat House, the Alice in Wonderland Statue and the Hans Christian Anderson Statue (where you may climb and take photos). You will visit the Lake and Bethesda Terrace, travel into the Ramble, Shakespeare Garden and Castle. Along the way, your guide will discuss the history of the Park and point out landmarks within the park.

Next, visit the American Museum of Natural History. The Museum is one of the largest and most celebrated museums in the world. It comprises 25 interconnected buildings that house 46 permanent exhibition halls, research laboratories and its renowned library. Your entry also includes admission to the Space Show.

Dinner this evening takes you into the world of rock ‘n roll at the Hard Rock Café. The history and memories of some of the most famous rock stars fill the restaurant.

After dinner, board your coach and travel a short distance to your New Jersey hotel, your home for 3 nights.

Day Two:

Start your day with a hearty breakfast served in the hotel. Board the coach and travel to Liberty Park where you will climb aboard for a cruise to Ellis and Liberty Islands. There will be time to debark and walk around both islands.

Disembark the boat at Battery Park and stroll down the narrow streets in the Financial District and stop for a photo op at the Charging Bull. Next, walk to the 9/11 Memorial. Pause and reflect on a day that touched the hearts of the entire world.

Have lunch on your own at one of the eateries in Zuccotti Park. It was named Liberty Plaza Park as it was situated beside One Liberty Plaza, between Broadway, Trinity Place, Liberty Square and Cedar Street. The park’s northwest corner is across the street from Four World Trade Center.

Meet your official NYC guide and embark on a 3-hour walking/windshield tour of New York’s highlights. Some of the sights you may witness are Strawberry Field, The Dakota Apartments, Lincoln Center, Harlem, The Apollo Theater, Museum Mile, The Plaza Hotel, Trump Tower, Tiffany’s, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Empire State Building, Square Park, Chinatown, Little Italy, TriBeCa, City Hall and St. Paul’s Chapel (the 9/11 “Little Chapel that Stood.”)

Times SquareYour tour will end in Times Square. Times Square, iconified as the “crossroads of the world,” is one of the world’s busiest pedestrian intersections and a major center of the world’s entertainment industry. It is also the world’s most visited tourist attraction. Enjoy time to explore the shops, witness the amazing billboards and immerse yourself in the fast pace of the city.

Dinner offers a flash back to Old Italy. At Buca de Beppo, you will dine on authentic Italian food served family-style. The name roughly translates into “Joe’s Basement,” so you won’t be surrounded by windows. You will, however, be surrounded by over 2,500 vintage photographs hung closely on every wall. Restrooms feature recorded sounds of people conversing in Italian.

After dinner, there will be time to attend a Broadway Show.

Day Three:

After breakfast in the hotel, head to Rockefeller Center for an NBC Studio Tour. Since 1933, the NBC Studio Tour has offered this historic experience that takes you through the halls and into the studios of NBC’s New York operations! You will visit the NBC Sharp Globe Theater, Broadcast Operations, the Make-up Room and even produce your very own show in their brand new Tour Studio!

Next, take a walk on the High Line. The High Line is a New York City linear park built on a 1.45-mile section of the elevated former New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line. This line that ran along the lower west side of Manhattan has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway. The views are amazing! Have lunch on your own at one of the vendors located on the High Line or at one of the exits.

After lunch, explore The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum; one of America’s leading historic, cultural and educational institutions.  The Museum is centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid (CVS-11), one of the most successful ships in US history. It is now a national historic landmark and one of the most unique attractions in New York City.

Brooklyn bridgeNext, for a most memorable experience, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge that soars over the East River and connects Manhattan and Brooklyn. The Bridge itself is a marvel of design and provides spectacular views of the city’s skyline.

Meet your official NYC guide who will lead you to sights of amazing graffiti and street art in the Bushwick Collective. Witness the industrial warehouse area, as it becomes a center for “Do It Yourself Energy” through art.

The evening activity begins in a retro, 1950’s diner. Entertainment abounds as singing waitstaff deliver your meals. Make sure to notice the retro-themed memorabilia such as photos of many past “Miss Subways,” an indoor train, a 1956 Predicta television and a “drive-in theater” screen that showcases performances of the 1950’s.

rsz_chrysler_buildingAfter dinner, witness a bird’s-eye illuminated view of Manhattan and beyond! Ride the elevator to the 86th floor to the Observation Deck of the Empire State Building.

Day Four:

After breakfast in the hotel, pack your bag, tidy-up your room and check out. Head to the Bronx for your last stop before heading home.

Visit the Bronx Zoo with its world-class exhibits such as the Congo Gorilla Forest, the Wild Asia Monorail, Tiger Mountain and Madagascar. It is the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States. Have lunch at the Zoo via an included voucher.
